In early spring in Japan, a hyacinth bulb is a very popular item of flower shop in town. It comes into bloom in a few days only if you put it on a small water jar. (photo1,2) But you need special care for your pets because hyacinth is deadly poisonous for cats!!

In spring, evergreen trees, such as oak tree and camphor tree, drop many old leaves without turning into lovely red and yellow colors . The tree in the photograph is a camphor tree which is very popular in Tokyo and other parts of Japan.

Nowadays, because of global warming, the cherry trees in Tokyo break out into a pink cloud of blossoms during late March instead of early April. This spring, people are enjoying cherry blossoms in small groups, keeping social distancing. (above: Yoyogi Park, 2021.03.26)

For my daily exercise in the Covid-19 pandemic days, I started to do cycling with a fold-up bicycle in neighboring Yoyogi Park, central Tokyo. The cycling road of the park is seen at the left end in the photograph.

The Kanmon Straits exists between Honshu and Kyushu island of Japan. From ancient times, there were a lot of important events in the history of Japan around this area. The building in the photograph is "Kanmon Straits museum" which is designed by Man Senda(E.D.I. ,Japan) on Kyushu side. I produced total exhibit design of this museum.
